As of right now, this blog is a running account of my work as an illustration student and my development as an illustrator in my own right.

These are the initial sketches for chapter illustrations that I did for the online serial novel Rise of the Tiger by Lisa Walker England. I will let you check out the story for yourself but these illustrations will be featured at the beginning of chapter 5 pt. 2 (bottom image) and chapter 17 pt. 1. Stay tunned for the finished art!

(almost) finished ink lines for my daily dishonesty illustrations. The faces had to be corrected and put back together digitally in some cases do pay no mind to the ghostly blank faced child.

These are process sketches for illustrations in the same vein as those that are featured on the blog Daily Dishonesty. I find myself battling this one daily…

    Well, that’s it…

So I have this BFA now. I am completely done with school—walked across a stage, got my very last grade report, deleted all of my old art history assignments from my computer… It is all a little surreal and immensely terrifying. And now all that is left is going back and finishing the artwork and process sketches that I have neglected to post while I was finishing school. I will try to space them out as best I can.

Finished custom MUNNY. From Raffy to Dreamy. Teardrop beads are carved from the lenses that were in the glasses prop that the MUNNY originally came with. The dreamcatcher and box were both hand made.

These are tight sketches for a vehicle wrap illustration for a school bus that would be (hypothetically) used for children’s programs at Shedd Aquarium. A school of fish on a school bus…get it? Ha! We have lots of fun here… More to come soon!

This is the digital mock up for a custom MUNNY toy that I created. I wanted to relate it to my thesis project somewhat so I took similar colors and the dreamy-ness to create this little dream spirit. Also, I learned a new skill: dream catcher making (thank you, google). Something to fall back on, you never know. Photos of the finished piece soon.
